Rufina, who  made this bag, was born in 1976. She is a mother of fourteen; her youngest child was born in 2015. Rufina lives in the community Paraguaipoa in Colombia, at the northernmost tip of South America. She belongs to the Sapuana clan, represented by the bird totem double-striped thick-knee. Rufina is happy to be part of Mama Tierra. “Now, I am able to feed my younger children”!
